Conference calls this year will be conducted using Elluminate software. If you have chosen this communication routine then an Elluminate invitation would have been sent to you.  You can join the classroom by opening up the link in that email.

Elluminate conferencing requires high speed internet and a microphone or headset.  Please insure you have tested the classroom and have all the initial set up accomplished before entering the meeting.

Meetings are Fridays @ 10:00 am starting Sept. 25th

10:00 am to 10:30 am - Student sharing.  This is an opportunity for students to share what they have been learning.  They can share writing assignments, learning highlights, or special projects they are accomplishing.

10:30 am - Novel Study will begin. This year we will study Treasures of the Snow.  I will order the novel and two study workbooks that go with the novel for any students wishing to participate in this study.

Jan. 29:  Review - Chapter 13

Feb. 5: Chapter 14 & 15

Feb. 12: Chapter 16 & 17

Feb. 19: Sensory Detail

Mar. 5: Chapter 18 & 19, Check -up, Climax

Mar. 12:  Chapters 20 & 21 , 22 & 23

Spring Break: During the Break -read  Chapters 24 to  26 & accomplish the questions

Mar. 26:- Chapters 24, 25 & 26 - do page 12 together assign page 13 & 16

April 2 - Good Friday - no conference

April 9:  correct page 13 & 16  - assign pg. 17 & 18

April 16: Correct  pg. 17  - share persuasive writing from page. 18

April 23:  Stan sharing? - assign all reviews, check-ups, and test

April 30:  no conference (CHEC conference)
